Manta Diving Madeira now dives with KrinnAir CO2-free nitrox;
the first dive centre in the Atlantic with CO2 reduction.
We are excited to have updated an existing L&W NITROX SYSTEM after intense planning and in close cooperation with Manta Diving Madeira. The defective lowpressure screw compressor was replaced by a new Atlas Copco screw compressor. A refrigeration dryer with high-performance filter was installed to safely remove moisture and oil particles in the preparation of compressed air. In this way we can ensure that the NITROX system will be long-lasting and reliable.
In order to comply with the current limits of NITROX CO2, in accordance with DIN EN 12021, owner Stefan Maier decided to retrofit a CO 2 reducer.
The additional “sport version” CO2 adsorber was placed under the existing L&W membrane to save space, allowing for convenient and easy integration of the prefabricated KrinnAir system on-site. A simple “start / stop ” control automatically adapts to the old system – no additional effort is required. EASY AND SAFE!
After a short test run, the CO 2 content was easily reduced to 50 ppm at Nitrox N32%. Aside from the measuring tolerance of the CO 2 sensors, you could even say you had “CO2-free NITROX”. The Manta Diving school is quite impressed with this technology, and now all divers can enjoy the healthy new “CO2-free NITROX” from KrinnAir.
